Noor | Founder

Hi there, I’m Noor. I’m a low-carb dietitian and nutritionist from the Netherlands, and founder of The Nourishing State. I hold a Bachelor of Science Nutrition & Dietetics degree, as well as a Master of Science Nutrition & Health degree.

I started TNS to support and empower women on their health journey, without feeling restricted or overwhelmed. Nothing makes me happier than helping women improve their health and overall wellbeing, so that they feel comfortable and happy in their own skin again.

My own low-carb journey began in 2019, when I started with a low-carb diet to manage my severe headaches after two serious concussions the year before. The results have been incredible – not only did my headaches reduce dramatically, I also lost the constant hunger (used to eat at least 6 times a day), the daily bloating I used to experience and I feel so much more energised.

This inspired me to create a team of amazing health professionals, to help as many women as possible feel their absolute best.

At the Nourishing State, we help women reclaim their health by getting to the root cause of their health issues, and using food as medicine to nourish their bodies.

Our dietary approach is based around whole foods with high quality proteins and healthy fats. With our approach, we emphasise variety and taste and promote satisfaction. Nothing worse than feeling hungry right after you’ve had your meal, right?!

The approach we use is low in carbohydrates and high in healthy fats. It’s gluten- and sugar-free, nutrient dense and flexible, making sure it fits your busy lifestyle. Eliminating these foods has a positive effect on your weight, gut health (goodbye daily bloating), as well as other inflammatory concerns such as acne. It is also really helpful for mental clarity and stable energy levels.
